Copilot CRM Is Now Homeworks: A Cheaper Alternative for Solo Lawn Care Pros
Copilot CRM rebranded to Homeworks in February 2026. Here is what changed, what the free Solo plan really covers, and how a one-person lawn business compares it with Mowbius at $12.99 per month.
Prices and platform facts verified August 2026. Software pricing changes often — check Copilot CRM (now Homeworks)'s own pricing page before you decide.
Stay on Copilot CRM (now Homeworks) if you are growing toward a crew and want estimates, invoicing, payments, automations, and marketing in one system, or if 50 customers still covers your whole route.
Switch to Mowbius if you have outgrown the free plan's 50-customer cap and don't want to pay crew-platform money to keep scheduling one person's work.

What Copilot CRM (Now Homeworks) Is, and Who It’s Really For
Copilot CRM is a home service CRM founded around 2022 by Mike Andes, who also founded the Augusta Lawn Care franchise. It is based in Washington State and, unusually for software this size, has no outside investors: the vendor’s own site describes the company as operator owned rather than private-equity backed. On February 28, 2026 it rebranded to Homeworks. Same company, same product, new name and new domain.
The platform bundles a dispatch board, scheduling and routing, estimates, invoicing, payments, automations for reminders and follow-ups, a customer portal, and email and SMS marketing. There is a web app for the office and two mobile apps: a main CRM app, plus a separate Field Force app for crews in the truck. Homeworks says it is built for home service companies scaling from $250,000 to $3 million in revenue, and the product matches that description: it is a growth system, not a pocket scheduler.
The rebrand matters if you are shopping. Searches for “Copilot CRM” now land on home.works, which does not mention the old name anywhere on its homepage, while reviews, YouTube videos, and forum threads still discuss Copilot CRM tiers that no longer exist. Two other products muddy the results further: Microsoft and GitHub both ship a product called Copilot, and a separate CRM reseller with a similar name publishes $197, $397, and $697 tiers that have nothing to do with this company. Every price below comes from the Homeworks pricing page itself.
Homeworks Pricing in 2026, Fully Broken Down
Verified in August 2026 on the vendor’s own pricing page at home.works/pricing, which is where copilotcrm.com redirects.
- Solo, $0/month. One user, up to 50 customers. Includes estimates, invoices, and online payments. No two-way SMS, no email marketing, no ACH.
- Growth, $299/month, or $219/month billed annually. Up to 10 users and 1,000 contacts. Adds two-way texting and bulk SMS, email marketing and automation, and ACH payments.
- Enterprise, $499/month, or $379/month billed annually. Up to 20 users and 5,000 contacts, 1,000 SMS segments included, and the lower card rate.
- Extra seats, $15 per user per month on every plan, beyond the seats the tier includes.
- Card processing through Stripe: 3.9% + $0.30 on Solo and Growth, 2.9% + $0.30 on Enterprise only. The fine print says the rate applies to card payments taken through Stripe, not to cash, check, or payments handled elsewhere.
- No contracts, and a guarantee that refunds your software fees if the business does not grow at least 10% in the first year. All prices are in USD and exclude sales tax.
Two numbers stand out for a one-person operation. The first is the processing rate: on $2,000 a month of card work, 3.9% is about $78 a month in fees, before the per-transaction $0.30. That is six times what Mowbius costs, paid to the software you use to collect it, and the cheaper 2.9% rate only arrives at $499/month. The second is the size of the step up. Once 50 customers is not enough, the next plan is $219 to $299 a month, roughly 17 to 23 times Mowbius’s monthly price, for capacity a solo route will not use.
Where Homeworks Frustrates Solo Operators
These are complaints reported by other people, not our findings, and most were written while the product was still called Copilot CRM.
- Price relative to value. In a LawnSite thread about Copilot CRM, one poster wrote: “CoPilot has some perks, but the pricing is just insane for what you get in my opinion.” The tier names in that discussion predate the current Solo, Growth, and Enterprise structure, so read the sentiment, not the numbers.
- Billing and fee discrepancies. LawnSite users in the same period reported customers being charged more than their invoices indicated, and complained that ACH was reserved for the top tier. ACH now sits on Growth and Enterprise, so that specific gate has moved, but the 3.9% card rate on the two lower plans has not.
- The gap between free and the first paid plan. There is nothing between $0 and $219 a month. A solo who crosses 50 customers has no small upgrade to take.
- Tracing what is current. Because the rebrand is recent, a lot of what you find about Copilot CRM describes a pricing structure the vendor no longer runs. Checking a claim means going back to the Homeworks page every time.
What Copilot CRM (Now Homeworks) Does Better Than Mowbius
This section is not hedged. Homeworks is a far broader product, and Mowbius has none of the following:
- Estimates, invoicing, and card and ACH payments
- Automations: appointment reminders, follow-ups, automatic invoicing, late fees
- A customer portal
- Email marketing, bulk SMS, and two-way texting with customers
- A dispatch board, crew routing, and multiple users with a crew app
- A full web interface for desktop work
- A genuinely free tier that includes invoicing
Mowbius also has no QuickBooks or Xero sync, no CSV import or export, and no way to send a customer anything. If any of that is how you run the business, stay where you are; a cheaper app that cannot invoice is not a saving.
Where Mowbius Wins
Mowbius is built for the operator Homeworks prices out: one person, one phone, no office and no crew.
- One flat price. $12.99 per month or $59.99 per year, with unlimited customers and unlimited jobs. No 50-customer cap, no per-seat fees, no add-ons, no sign-up fee.
- No cut of your revenue. Mowbius does not process payments, so there is no 3.9% and no per-transaction fee. You collect on site however you already do, then tap Mark Paid on a closed job and the app tracks it.
- Fully offline-first. All of your data lives on the phone, so the entire app works with no signal, not just a crew view. Changes sync the next time it connects.
- Native apps on both platforms, iOS and Android, built mobile-first rather than as a companion to a web console. No ads, ever.
- Fast to run. Contacts carry color labels and an Automatically Reschedule Jobs setting for recurring visits, jobs are assembled from your reusable Manage Tasks & Prices catalog, and the Schedule tab has a calendar plus Daily View and Weekly View. The Revenue tab shows Today’s Revenue, Unpaid Payments, and a Forecast report.
- Nothing to cancel. Billing runs through the App Store or Google Play and you cancel in your store settings.
If a free plan with invoicing is what you actually need, the honest comparison is not Mowbius: look at Yardbook, whose free tier has no customer cap, and read the price comparison for one-person operations before deciding. Every option we looked at is on the alternatives hub.
How to Switch
Leaving is straightforward on the Solo plan: it is free, there is no contract, and closing the account costs nothing. On Growth or Enterprise the plans are month to month, but an annual plan is paid up front, so time the move to the end of a term rather than mid-season. Before you close anything, ask Homeworks support what data export they can give you, and keep your own copy of the customer list.
Setting up Mowbius means entering your customers and their properties by hand. Mowbius has no import, so that is real work: for a typical solo route it is an afternoon. Add each customer, build your task and price list once, set the recurring schedule per contact, and auto-rescheduling keeps future visits coming. The 14-day free trial includes every feature, and the subscription is billed by the App Store or Google Play.
