Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Mowbius app for iOS and Android and this website, getmowbius.com. The two collect different things, so they get their own sections: the app is first, the website follows.

Mowbius is published by App Lane OÜ, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia. Contact details are at the end of this page and in the imprint.

You create a Mowbius account with an email address and a password. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service — there is no Google, Apple, or social sign-in, and no phone-number login. Firebase stores your email address, a secured credential derived from your password, whether your email is verified, and the date the account was created.

After you sign up, a verification email is sent to your address from the Mowbius Firebase project (mowbius-f25df). Verification emails, password-reset emails, and email-change confirmations are the only emails the app sends on its own.

Everything else Mowbius stores is data you type in to run your business:

Much of this is personal data about your customers, not about you. You are the one collecting it, so it is on you to handle it lawfully — tell your customers what you store where local law requires it, and delete records you no longer need. Mowbius acts as your storage: we never use your customer records for anything except showing them back to you.

Mowbius is offline-first. Your data lives in a local copy on your phone, so the app works without a connection; changes upload to the cloud when a connection is available.

The cloud copy is stored in Cloud Firestore, part of Google Firebase, in the Mowbius project (mowbius-f25df). Google LLC processes this data on our behalf under the Firebase terms. The database rules allow exactly one reader and writer for your data: your signed-in account.

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details — no card numbers, no billing address.

To keep your subscription working across devices, the app mirrors your entitlement to your account: the product id, expiry date, which store it came from, and the store transaction id. That is the whole record.

The iOS and Android apps use Firebase Analytics, a Google service. The events the app logs itself are a small, fixed set around account migration and account deletion — counts and durations, no customer data, no behavioral profile. There are no advertising SDKs, no attribution SDKs, and no third-party analytics beyond Firebase.

Job reminders and the daily summary are local notifications, scheduled on your phone — there is no push service, so no notification data leaves your device. The app asks for notification permission only when you enable them.

Mowbius does not access your location, your address book, or your camera. Addresses are typed by hand, and "Navigate to" simply opens the address in Google Maps.

You can delete your account inside the app: Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your synced data — contacts, properties, jobs, tasks, and templates — and then the account itself. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

getmowbius.com uses Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2 to count visits. Until you accept the consent pill, Analytics runs in cookieless mode: no cookies are set and no persistent identifier is stored, only anonymous pings. If you accept, Analytics may set its measurement cookies. If you decline, the pill goes away and nothing changes — cookieless mode continues.

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which processes standard server logs (IP address, requested page, browser) to deliver the pages. The site sets no cookies of its own beyond the Analytics choice above, and stores your consent choice in your browser.

When the app or the website changes what it stores, this policy changes with it, and the date at the top moves. Meaningful changes are called out in the app or on this site rather than slipped in quietly.
