Verify Your Email Address

What the yellow card in Settings means, where the verification email comes from, and what to do when it never arrives.

After you create a Mowbius account, a yellow card appears at the top of the Settings tab, and the Settings icon in the navigation bar gets a small ”!” dot. The card reads:

Verify your email to enable cloud backup. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification link.

Verifying confirms you control the address. Nothing is locked while you’re unverified: you can sign in, and your data keeps syncing. Do it anyway. Your email is how you reset a lost password, and a mistyped address would leave your account unreachable exactly when you need it.

When the Email Never Arrives

  1. Check your spam or junk folder. The message comes from the app's system sender — search for "mowbius"; the sender includes mowbius-f25df.
  2. In Mowbius, open Settings and tap Resend Email on the yellow card. You'll see "Verification email sent. Check your inbox (and spam folder)."
  3. Open the email and click the link. The card disappears on its own; no restart needed.

If it still doesn’t arrive, the address on the account may be misspelled. Check it under SettingsAccount Settings, or email us and we’ll look at the account.

Changing Your Email Address

Go to SettingsAccount Settings and tap the E-Mail row. The app sends a verification link to the new address and tells you:

A verification link has been sent to your new address. Your email will update after you click the link.

Until you click it, keep signing in with the old address.

Forgot Your Password

On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot password?” and enter your email. You’ll get a reset link: “Sent! Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the reset link.”

New Account After the April 2026 Migration

Mowbius moved to a new backend in April 2026, and accounts from before then had to be re-created. If that was you: you do not pay again. Your subscription lives in your App Store or Google Play account, not in your Mowbius account. If the app asks you to subscribe, tap Restore Purchases on that screen.
